52 questions
Everyday use
4 questionsDay-to-day control during a live show.
Do I need to install anything? Most asked
No. CueTimer Pro runs in the browser, both on the control machine and on the room screen.
You open a view and you are working.
How do I set up my first event?
Open or create a room, name the event, build the rundown by hand or by importing a document, set the show start time, test the timer and open the public display. It takes about five minutes.
What is on screen while I operate?
Three zones:
- the rundown on the left
- the timer with its transport controls in the centre
- the inspector on the right for block settings
- timer appearance
- messages
Does it work without a connection?
The control needs a connection to keep the public displays in sync in real time.
Rundown and timers
5 questionsBlocks, durations and start times.
How are block times calculated? Most asked
You set the show start time and each block chains from the previous one using its duration. Change the start time and the whole rundown shifts, with no need to edit block by block.
Can I change the rundown during the show?
Yes. Edit titles, durations and order of blocks that have not started yet and the change reaches every screen instantly.
How do I add or take away time live?
Quick adjustments change the running block and shift the rest of the schedule. To recover a delay it is better to trim blocks that have not started than to touch the active one.
Can I manage a multi-day conference?
Yes. One rundown separated by days, each with its own start time.
Importing a document with dates separates the days automatically.
Is there a limit of blocks?
For normal use you will not notice a limit: a full event rundown fits without problems.
Speaker display
4 questionsWhat the speaker and the room see.
How do I open the display the speaker sees? Most asked
From the Output menu you launch the public view in a new window. Drag it to the second monitor and set it fullscreen.
Can the client follow the event from their phone?
Yes. The Output menu gives you a link and a QR code for the public display.
Anyone opening it sees a read-only view and cannot control the event.
Can I send a message to the speaker?
Yes. You write a short note in the inspector and it appears immediately over the display without stopping the timer.
Clear it when it is no longer needed.
How do I black out the screen instantly?
Blackout, from the Output menu, turns the public screens black without stopping the timer. Turn it off and the content returns with the time updated.
Devices and sync
4 questionsScreens, tablets and remote control.
What do I need in the booth? Most asked
A computer with a browser and a stable connection. The room screen can be another computer or the input of your video system, showing the public display fullscreen.
How do I know how many screens are connected?
The connected counter in the header shows how many screens are receiving data from that room right now.
The display is not updating, what do I check?
Reload the public display to recover the real state of the room, check that device's network, since a saturated venue wifi is the usual cause, and make sure the screen belongs to the room you are controlling.
Can I operate from a small screen?
Yes. On small screens the three zones stack and the less used controls are grouped into a More button.
Importing schedules
4 questionsBring an existing rundown into the app.
Can I import the client's programme?Most asked
Yes. From File, Import rundown, you can import a PDF, an image or an Excel sheet and it becomes an editable rundown.
AI import is a Pro feature.
How should the Excel be structured?
One row per block, one column with the title and another with the duration or the time, a single table with no decorative rows above and no merged cells.
Does importing delete my current rundown?
Yes. Importing replaces the rundown of that room in a single operation.
Export it first if you want to keep it.
What if the file does not import?
Check the format (PDF, JPG, PNG or Excel), the file size, that the document has readable text and not a blurry scan, that a room is open and that your plan allows AI import.
Artificial Intelligence
10 questionsCueTimer Pro's AI speeds up event preparation by automating the repetitive work, while the operator always keeps control.
What does CueTimer Pro use Artificial Intelligence for? Most asked
The AI in CueTimer Pro is used before the event starts: it reads the programme your client sends, interprets blocks, titles and durations and builds a first editable rundown. It is AI event planning support for conferences and corporate productions, not an autopilot: during the live show it makes no decisions at all.
Which documents can I import with AI?
You can import the usual formats of an event programme: PDF, Excel sheets, official programmes, photos of a printed schedule, screenshots and scanned documents. The only condition is that the document contains the information and is readable: if the text is blurry or incomplete, the AI cannot guess it.
Does the AI create the rundown automatically?
It generates a first organised version of the rundown, with blocks already ordered and timed. That version is your starting point:
- you can review it
- edit it
- reorder it
- adjust durations before the event
Do I have to review the result?
Yes, always review it. The AI removes most of the transcription work, but the final check belongs to the operator.
Go through titles, durations and start times before taking the rundown into production: you stay in control at every step.
Does the AI change the event during the live show?
No. Once the event is prepared, control is entirely the operator's.
The AI does not change blocks, does not adjust timings and takes no automatic decisions during the production.
What does it add compared with building a rundown by hand?
The gains are concrete:
- much faster preparation
- less repetitive copy
- paste
- fewer transcription errors
- saved time before the event
- a coherent initial structure to work from. It does not replace your judgement
- it removes the mechanical part
Do I need to know anything about Artificial Intelligence?
No. The workflow is transparent: open a room, import the document and CueTimer Pro does the work.
There is nothing to configure and nothing to understand about the technology underneath.
What if the AI reads something incorrectly?
Everything stays editable. Nothing is locked:
- you can correct titles
- durations
- start times
- the order of the blocks before the event
- exactly as if you had typed them yourself
Are my documents used to train AI models?
No. The documents you import are processed only to generate the rundown for that room.
If your client has specific data-handling requirements, write to us and we will confirm the details in writing.
Is AI included in every plan?
AI import is a Pro feature. On the free plan you can build and run rundowns manually; to import documents with AI you need a Pro plan or an event pass.
Stage Workspace
3 questionsHigh-contrast mode for booth and backstage.
What is Stage Workspace?Most asked
The professional working environment for booth, backstage and stage during a live show:
- high contrast
- large readable figures
- reduced light emission in a dark room
Is it just a dark theme?
No. It is designed for the operator running a live event, not a colour inversion of the interface.
Does the public display adapt too?
Yes. The public display adapts to the light or dark theme and to the size of the monitor showing it.
Plans and billing
7 questionsAccess, billing and what each plan adds.
What does the Starter plan include? Most asked
Manual rundown, timers and public display, free, for up to 3 events.
How does the 24H Event Pass work?
A one-off €9.90 purchase (VAT included) with full access for 24 hours. It is not a subscription and it does not renew.
What does Pro add?
AI import of rundowns from PDF, image and Excel, plus advanced control and customisation features. Pro Monthly is €19.90 per month and Pro Yearly €169 per year, VAT included.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes. All prices shown in CueTimer Pro already include the applicable VAT.
The amount you see is exactly what you will pay during checkout. An invoice will be available after your purchase.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account.
You'll continue to enjoy CueTimer Pro until the end of your current billing period, and no further charges will be made.
Do I lose my rundowns if I go back to Starter?
No. The rundowns you created stay available; only the Pro features are limited.
How long does a demo access last?
Demo access opens the full experience for one hour from its first use.
Data and support
4 questionsStorage, privacy and your event data.
Who can see my events? Most asked
Only your account. Rooms and rundowns are not public and shared displays are read-only.
What happens to the documents I import?
They are used only to generate the rundown for that room.
Is a shared link protected?
A public display link works for anyone who has it. Share it only with people who should see the event.
How fast is support?
We answer by email. If you have an event running, tell us in the subject line and we prioritise it.
Built-in help
7 questionsVisual help inside every screen, with real screenshots and step-by-step guides.
Where do I find the help? Most asked
Inside CueTimer Pro. Every screen has its own help panel, so you never leave the app to understand a function.
Do I need to read a manual first?
No. You learn while you work: each tool explains itself right where you are using it.
Is the help available during the event?
Yes. You can open it while the timer is running, without stopping anything on screen.
Does it include screenshots?
Yes. Real screenshots of the app, with the interface highlighted so you know exactly where to click.
Does the help change depending on the function I am using?
Yes. It is contextual: it shows the topics related to the screen you have open.
Are there step-by-step guides?
Yes. Short guides such as your first event in five minutes, importing a rundown or opening the speaker display.
Do I need a connection to open the help?
The app already runs online, so the help is always one click away with no extra download.
